Summary: Study of 32 face-similar pairs finds that there is a positive correlation between facial similarity and DNA-similarity. They also find that this correlation holds for educational / socioeconomic achievements and health characteristics as well.

Analysis: This shows that Physiognomy, the formerly lampooned ancient practice, has a DNA-basis as well. "Scientific consensus" can't be trusted.

This also lends credence to people discriminating against other people by looks, and why Hollywood keeps casting some faces as villains. It turns out that our faces have a lot of valuable information.

That they are trying to "avoid stigma" is a problem for Diverse mixed societies. And why homogeneous societies are more efficient. Viruses and bacteria don't care about "stigma". Science doesn't care about "stigma". Truth is truth.

Ukraine endangers civilians by colocating HVAs

Amnesty International has accused Ukraine of locating frontline military positions next to civilian residences and other protected places (hospitals, etc). The accusation pointed to positions in all active theaters, as well as at least 1 Eastern logistic node.

This has been obvious, looking at the Ukrainian casualty announcements. There was obviously a reason why Russia keeps bombing population centers, other than Russia being inherently evil. The logic of cost and efficiency dictates that Russia needs to reserve most of its long-range weapons for high-payoff mitary targets, not population centers of dubious effects.

And Amnesty International has concluded that, yes, Ukraine indeed is locating military assets next to civilian locations. It is unclear, for now, if it is deliberate (though probably yes). Given that Ukraine is aware of GPS jamming technologies and military deception techniques, it is also currently unknown if Ukraine applied those methods, to protect its military assets and to maximize its civilian casualties for political gain. (Probably some instances yes.)

This is yet another reminder that we cannot trust any reporting from any wartime governments. They all want to lie.

Urban Corruption: Code Enforcement

People in Nashville, especially property developers, have weaponised the municipal code enforcement against poor people, especially black ones. The metro code enforcement system, with its special courts, is a virtual tyranny on the residents.

More than the more-visible police beatings, municipal ticketing agencies, like the Nashville Metro Code Enforcement, are signs of corruption. And we see here that Nashville is very corroded.
