Myanmar Insurrections, Taiwan, and Chinese Nationism

Myanmar is trying to suppress its many insurrections, again.

If the Republic of China wants to fight China's center of gravity, then it has to change its current strategy. The current ROC strategy is defensive secession: Taiwan wants to be Taiwan. However, that strategy is only effective with Americans (and maybe Japanese). It is completely ineffective against China. ROC has completely ceded the moral domain with China.

Instead, ROC must appeal as the legitimate champion of all Chinese People, as the legitimate heir of Sun Yatsen. The CCP claims legitimacy because of Chinese nationalism. ROC must fight back on that moral plane.

For example, ROC must support all of the Chinese Diaspora in the Myanmar insurrection. KMT used to, which was how most of those tribes got their weapons in the first place. Time to fight again.

The DPP and the Pan-Green coalition, perhaps due to their hatred of the KMT, appears genetically incapable of contesting Chinese nationalism. This is one of the many reasons, but perhaps the most fundamental one, why Taiwan is doomed.
