A multi-variate study showed that eating vegetables has no effect on cardiac health, after controlling other lifestyle (and fruit consumption(!)) variables.
A study of recovered colon-cancer patients showed that red meat consumption slightly decreased colon cancer recurrence risk, while eating processed meats slightly increased recurrence risk.
Therefore, you should eat lots of red meat and no vegetables, (and work out), if you want to prevent heart disease and colon cancer.
