Crime Statistics: City Crimes Indeed Rose 2021

Researchers used crime location data and people mobility data in 3 cities, to clarify the urban crime picture during the Covid pandemic. It turns out that there were overall fewer crimes, but also many fewer people out and about. So, on a per-outdoor-hour and per-outdoor-person basis, all crimes rose significantly during the pandemic, just like traffic fatality per mile driven did as well.

And of course, under that new metric, urban murder rates skyrocketed, much more seriously than we all originally thought. People are getting slaughtered in the cities. The leftist author tried to reassure the urban readers that the cities are still quite safe. Only the stupid ones will buy that story. American cities are not safe. The post-Covid back-to-the-office will not bring back the workers. The Covid urban flight is here to stay.

And faced with both the traffic fatality spike and now the clear urban crime spike, we can conclude that Covid and vaccines have indeed made people more violent and less patient, and more accident-prone. Stay safe, my readers.
